Flamingo Bay Water Lodge, MozambiqueThe ultimate honeymoon destination in the warm Indian Ocean, an experience of tranquillity and serenity. At Flamingo Bay, guests can enjoy luxurious accommodation in lovely water chalets, each situated on stilts in sparkling waters. These 20 spacious, air conditioned, luxury chalets all have beautiful views and open onto a private balcony with loungers and steps into the ocean for swimming and snorkelling when the tide is in. There are 15 rooms with double beds, 5 with twin beds, all rooms have en suite shower and toilet tea/coffee making facilities. The main building is set aside from the rooms but connected by a wooden walkway. The main building houses the reception, restaurant, bar, lounge, curio shop and pool. You can walk or catch a ride on the circulating golf cart to get access back and forth to your room. A well equipped conference centre seating up to 60 delegates in comfort is also available. |

Flamingo Bay Water Lodge is situated on the southern section of the Barra Peninsula in the palm fringed Inhambane Bay, about 25km from Inhambane city and 485km north of Maputo. The upstairs lounge, overlooking the entire Inhambane Bay, is where one can relax with a book & meet friends. The swimming pool forms an integral part of the main building and merges into the surrounding landscape. From the spacious pool deck you can sip cocktails watching the sun set amongst the islands. For water lovers there is a host of water sports available. The bay is an ideal venue for Hobie Cat and Laser Dingy sailing. Water-skiing, snake rides, paddle skis, surfboards, boogie boards are just some of the activities that can be arranged. |
