Forest Creek Lodge, MpumalangaHigh up on the solid rock face of the Mpumalanga escarpment is a gorge where the four star rated Forest Creek Lodge nestles within it's cliffs. Forest Creek Lodge is 18km off the Schoemanskloof Road towards Lydenburg (R36) The gorge is softened only by a blanket of shrubs and trees which have grown in this malaria-free zone over millennia, watered by the boulder-strewn creek that bubbles with the purest, cleanest water imaginable. 3 000 years ago the miners panned the gorge's creek for gold.
